Session Techniques

Life is ever evolving and in perpetual motion. This is reflected in the numerous and diverse workshops and certification trainings that I have participated in. I am skilled in a variety of integrative holistic techniques which recognize that, "we, as human organisms, are a series of interacting, multi-dimensional subtle energy systems" and that "health ultimately depends on people learning to live in a whole and loving way in every aspect of their lives." (Gabriel Cousens, MD). I invite you to participate in this unique and rewarding journey.

Polarity Therapy

A dynamic and innovative health-care system that combines aspects of Ayurvedic Medicine, Reflexology, Cranial Sacral Theory, Acupressure and Modern Physics. Polarity is the principle of energy in motion. It recognizes that energy currents exist in the atom, the solar system, nature and the human body. When a current is interrupted, through emotions, anxiety, stress, tension, injury, trauma, etc., changes occur. In the human body, this interruption is interpreted as pain. Energy based bodywork utilizes point specific contacts with three types of touch: light, moderate and firm, gentle rocking and stretching, structural integration and nervous system balance that focuses on re-establishing the free-flow of energy currents. Balance, harmony and vibrant health are then able to be restored naturally. Nutritional guidelines, stretching postures and self-awareness are recognized as key components in maintaining one's personal well-being. Developed by Dr. R. Stone, DO, DC, ND (1890-1981).

Reiki

A gentle, non-invasive touch that supports the body's natural healing process. Reiki is calming and centering. An ancient Tibetan technique. Re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui (1864-1926).

Cranial Sacral Therapy

Restrictions in the tissues and fluids that surround the brain and the spinal cord affect the natural functioning of the Central Nervous System. A light touch is used to sense fluid motion and relieve restrictions. The Central Nervous System is able to normalize and self-regulate. Developed by Dr. W. Sutherland (1873-1954).

Self-Awareness

Self-awareness is a key component in creating health. An intake dialogue offers an opportunity to explore and process one's thoughts and feelings. The ability to develop specific strategies for stress relief gives one a fresh perspective on life.

Breathing Matters

Conscious breathing induces profound changes in one's health and wellness. It dispels fatigue, reduces tension and pain, stabilizes blood pressure, and relaxes, refreshes and renews one's spirit. A great gift to re-awaken within oneself.

Meditation / Guided Imagery

An opportunity to access the ever-present resource within and create beneficial and rewarding changes in your health and life.

Lymphatic Balance

Working with the lymphatic fluid in a gentle fashion to support the healthy functioning of the Immune System.

Sound

Tuning forks, crystal bowl and Tibetan bells for beauty, harmony and peace.
